Northeast Wisconsin Career Expo to Feature Over 3,100 Jobs, 150 Employers

ASHWAUBENON – Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Secretary Ray Allen announced today 150 employers with more than 3,100 job openings have registered to participate in the Northeast Wisconsin Career Expo from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, October 17 at Shopko Hall in Ashwaubenon.

"The Northeast Wisconsin Career Expo is a premier event that connects employers with job seekers," said DWD Secretary Ray Allen. "The Department of Workforce Development is pleased to once again host this event and help employers showcase thousands of good-paying, family-supporting jobs they have available."

The Northeast Wisconsin Career Expo is open only to employers with current job openings and job seekers who are ready to work, providing both parties with opportunities to connect face-to-face and hold in-person discussions about opportunities available."

Registered businesses include: Ariens Company, Capital Credit Union, Kohler Company, LDI Industries, Pierce Manufacturing, Sargento Foods, Schneider, and West Corporation. Good-paying entry level through advanced job openings are available in manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, customer service, sales and many other industries and occupations, some paying more than $30 an hour.

Job seekers who attend the Northeast Wisconsin Career Expo are encouraged to research participating employer job openings, dress for success and bring resume copies for employer distribution.

Shopko Hall is located at 1901 S. Oneida Street, Ashwaubenon. DWD honors priority of service for U.S. military veterans, including limiting job seeker attendance at Career Expos to veterans for the first half hour. The general public will be admitted at 1:30 p.m.
