Milwaukee Career Expo on May 3 at State Fair Park; Event to Include Wisconn Valley Construction Resource Fair

MADISON – The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) will host the 2018 Milwaukee Career Expo on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at State Fair Park. In addition to hosting over 100 employers with open jobs to fill, this year's event will also feature Wisconn Valley Construction Resource Fair partners who will be available to help members of the public explore careers and connect with education and training options in Wisconsin's booming construction industry.

Job seekers and other interested members of the public will need to obtain a ticket to attend the free event.

The Milwaukee Career Expo is a premiere talent attraction event that annually connects hundreds of work-ready job candidates with more than 100 employers from a variety of industries to fill good-paying jobs in high-demand fields. By expanding the event to include Wisconn Valley Construction Resource Fair vendors, job seekers and interested members of the public will also have an opportunity to learn about careers in construction.

Briggs & Stratton, FedEx Ground, Froedtert Health, Go Riteway Transportation Group, Kohl's Corporation, Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Michels Corporation, Spectrum Communications and Wolf Paving are among the businesses already registered for the expo. In addition, representatives from trade associations, non-profit organizations, education institutions, and state and local government agencies will offer a variety of supportive services.

The career expo and resource fair will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first 30 minutes of the event will be limited to U.S. military veterans who are seeking employment. The general public will be admitted at 11 a.m. Find event details at: http://www.wisconsincareerexpo.com/.
