DWD and Bay Area Workforce Board Greet First Customers at New Baylake City Center Location

GREEN BAY – Today, the Brown County Job Center opened the doors to their new facility inside the Baylake City Center, located at 301 N. Adams Street in the heart of downtown Green Bay. Staff from the Department of Workforce Development (DWD), the Bay Area Workforce Development Board and other local partner agencies were there to welcome the first job seekers to the new location.

The Brown County Job Center's new location provides updated facilities with ground-floor access to a new Resource Room, ample space or employer recruitment events, and additional rooms for Re-Employment Services courses, counselor appointments and other services. It is conveniently located along the Green Bay Metro Transit bus route and provides ample public parking in nearby city-managed lots and ramps.

"We are excited to bring the many services available at DWD's job centers to the heart of Green Bay and deliver those services to job seekers within a modern and well-designed facility with a customer friendly layout," DWD Secretary Allen said. "Being conveniently located along city bus service lines only expands our reach to job seekers who rely on public transit to get to and from their place of employment,"
