UI Community Partner Toolkit

Do You Assist Unemployment Insurance Claimants?

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is working with community partners and stakeholders to ensure all eligible individuals have the information and support they need to apply for and receive Unemployment Insurance (UI).

This toolkit can be used by non-profits and other community partners who work with people who need assistance with the UI process and may have limited English proficiency, disabilities, limited internet, or other access needs.

Resources For Community Partners

We value your role in our community - These resources are intended to support your organization to learn key facts about UI so you may better explain the UI process to claimants:

  • Ideas for Outreach - What actions you can take to educate and assist claimants with accessing their UI benefits.
  • Directory of Resources - Online UI resources including web pages, publications, videos, and more.
  • UI Community Partner Training - An online training package that provides you with base knowledge about the UI program, allowing you to serve UI claimants more effectively.
  • Event Flyer Template - Announce your unemployment event using this template.
