Fair Chance Hiring practices can help your organization recruit and retain competitive new talent during a rapidly evolving labor market. This virtual event will showcase how the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is partnering with the Universities of Wisconsin, the Department of Corrections, and various higher education in prison initiatives to develop a new ecosystem of workforce resilience in Wisconsin. Learn from—and network with—the leaders from UW System, Employ Milwaukee, Jobs for the Future, and other workforce partners who are responding to Wisconsin’s labor supply projections with initiatives designed to train a new generation of expert laborers. Attendees will additionally learn about the hiring incentives DWD offers to support Wisconsin employers.
Open to the public, these educational online two hour web conferences called Friday Fundamentals and virtual half-day Labor Law Clinics, are offered by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and feature DWD staff explaining many of the laws and rules the agency administers.
Friday Fundamentals are web conferences (focused on one topic) held 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Labor Law Clinics are virtual half-day seminars (covering two topics) held 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 Noon.
