Surgical Technologist

Surgical technologists provide safe and effective surgical care to patients under the supervision of a surgeon as an integral part of the medical team. They ensure that the operating room or environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Additional Training

Apprentices will earn an associate degree from the Wisconsin Technical College System. The apprentice must:

  1. Satisfy all entrance requirements for the associate degree prior to beginning the registered apprenticeship.
  2. Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.

* Apprentices are paid regular hourly wages during the Paid Related Instruction time in the classroom
