This indicator measures compliance with DWD 80.02(2)(c) relating to submission of the Wage Information Supplement Report, WKC-13-A.
Insurers are required to submit the Wage Information Supplement Report, form WKC-13-A, if the wage is less than the maximum rate. The information required on the Wage Information Supplement is to be complete and submitted with the First Supplementary Report. If the wage information is not available then due with the First Supplementary Report is an estimated date of when the Wage Information Supplement will be reported to the Department.
While there is no performance standard set by statute or rule the benchmark used for training purposes is that at least 80% of Wage Information Supplements, or the notice of an estimated submission date, are submitted timely.
The source of the data is either the date that the Wage Information Supplement was received or the date that the Department was notified of an estimated submission date.
Promptness is computed by dividing the number of untimely Wage Information Supplement Reports and notices of estimated submission dates received by the total number of received Wage Information Supplement Reports and notices of estimated submission dates.
This indicator reflects the individual and combined performance of about 180 insurers with respect to the timely submission of Wage Information Supplement Reports or estimated submission dates. These insurers account for over 90% of the claims submitted. The benchmark for training purposes is that 80% of Wage Information Supplements, or notices of an estimated submission date, are submitted timely.
12 quarter performance sits at 77%, while 3rd quarter 2024 performance is also at 76%. The WC Division will continue its monitoring, education and enforcement related to the performance measured by this indicator. This will hopefully help performance continue to exceed the benchmark in the coming quarters.
PLEASE NOTE: Quarterly summary reports are static. As such they are a snapshot of performance reflected by our database on the 14th day of every new quarter. As such, actual performance may be different due to changes to the claims for the given quarter after the reports are run.
