This is a transfer opportunity open only to current DWD employees serving in a permanent classified position. To be eligible to apply for a transfer or voluntary demotion opportunity, you must be at the same or counterpart pay schedule and range or higher as the vacancy, or have reinstatement eligibility to such. Individuals who are currently serving in an LTE or Project 05 appointments are not eligible to apply.
The classification for this position is Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Advanced (schedule 12, range 63). This tool can help you determine the movement between positions. You can find your salary plan/range (grade) in the staff directory on the workweb or your paystub.
Starting salary will be in accordance with the state compensation plan. In accordance with Wis.Stat.230.28, a probationary period may be required.

This position can be headquartered in Eau Claire, Menomonie, or Rice Lake and is eligible to work remotely up to 4 days a week, after an initial training period. Frequent daytime travel within WDA 8 to attend meetings, training, and outreach is a requirement of the position.

This position requires licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and eligibility as a clinical supervisor. Eligibility as a clinical supervisor is enforced by the Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services (DSPS) according to MPSW 12.02. A common path to this eligibility is to have practiced professional counseling for five years. If that is your route to eligibility, you can apply if you are within four months of five years of practice at the application deadline date. It is also important to note that practice while holding an LPC-IT can count toward those five years.
