Nursing Pathway LPN to ADN

Currently a practicing LPN in the state of WI? Want to continue your education to become a registered nurse, this program is designed for you. You can apply 19 credits from your practical nursing program to give you a major jump start. Then continue your training with the latest procedures and technology. You'll get plenty of hands-on experience with a wide range of clinical skills, health assessments and medication administration. Our state-of-the-art health simulation environment gives you access to a variety of life-like training opportunities to build your confidence and skills. Throughout your training, you ll practice critical thinking, leadership, team building and accurate communications, which will prepare you to work effectively in a variety of environments and with diverse patient populations. Electives allow you to pursue specific areas of interest. Upon completion, you'll be eligible to take the National Council of State Board's examination to become a registered nurse.

A TEAS test composite score of 58.7 or above is required for admission to the Pre-Associate Degree Nursing. Submit a final, official high school transcript or an official copy of GED/HSED certification scores. Meet with the Nursing Department Chair to discuss the program requirements. Read, sign and submit a Technical Standards form. Students should make a copy of their Practical Nurse License and send it in to F. Submit an official copy of your Post-Secondary transcript(s).
A program that requires its students to demonstrate they have successfully acquired a set of skills or knowledge base prior to completing the program. Compare to a "time-based" training program that results in successful completion if the students participate in a certain number of instructional hours.

FVTC Teaching & Learning Center - tutoring is available for Math, Accounting, Science, Reading and study skills, writing and study groups.

Refunds are processed according to the WTCS refund policy. Wisconsin Technical College 10.08, Wisconsin Administrative Code, establishes the requirements for district policies and procedures related to student fee refunds. Refunds are applicable only from the date the student officially drops the class through Enrollment Services or online.
