The WE CARE Youth Certification Program at Five Star Educational Training Center, Inc. provides young adults ages 16-24 with industry-recognized certifications in Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF) Training and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training to prepare them for immediate employment in the healthcare field. This program offers state-approved coursework, hands-on skill development, and real-world clinical experience, equipping participants with essential caregiving skills such as medication administration, personal care, infection control, and emergency response. Pathway Description This program serves as a stepping stone into the healthcare industry, offering foundational training that leads to multiple career opportunities in nursing homes, hospitals, home healthcare, and community-based residential facilities (CBRFs). Phase 1: CBRF Training (31 Hours – Lecture & Lab) Students gain the necessary credentials to work in assisted living and residential care settings by completing: Fire Safety Standard Precautions Medication Administration First Aid & Choking Resident Rights & Client Group Training Challenging Behaviors & Task-Specific Training Upon successful completion, students are added to the CBRF Employee Registry and qualify for employment in assisted living and community-based care facilities. Phase 2: CNA Training (91 Hours – Lecture, Lab & Clinicals) Students progress to CNA certification with: 75 hours of classroom and lab instruction 16 hours of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
