Sterile Processing Technician
Mid-State Technical College
Mid-State’s hands-on Sterile Processing Technician program prepares students to work with supplies and equipment related to surgery, obstetrics, emergency departments, and other patient care settings. Effective communication is vital within this multi-service area. The curriculum includes online instruction, lab, and clinical experience. The clinical portion of the course places students at a minimum of two sites. Students learn the principles of standard precautions, asepsis, disinfection, and sterilization procedures. Mid-State aims to offer several approaches to tutoring to ensure that students have options that fit their learning needs including lab-based, one-one-one, group, and online. Tutoring services are no cost to currently enrolled students.

Refunds are issued per the official refund schedule available at any Student Services Information Center. Refund amounts are determined by the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Refund Policy and federal financial aid regulations. Refunds will be issued to the student unless a documented third-party sponsorship or contract exists. In such cases the refund will be returned to the sponsor or contracting party.
