Lab Assistant
Chippewa Valley Technical College
The Lab Assistant Technical Diploma introduces students to the fundamental principles and procedures performed in the laboratory, utilizing medical terminology and basic laboratory equipment. Coursework includes safety and infection control procedures and performance of simple laboratory tests including routine venipuncture, capillary puncture, and special collection procedures.

Before the first day of classes.
The technical diploma is 3 credits in the first term of the 10-513-1 Medical Laboratory Technician associate degree program.
WI TechConnect is CVTC’s online job board where employers advertise their part-time, full-time and internship opportunities for technical college students, both current and alumni. Students can post their resume, create an e-folio, access resources regarding your job search, and learn about upcoming career fair events happening at various CVTC campuses.
Peer tutoring: Schedule an appointment with a CVTC tutor through Tutor Match; 1-1 peer tutoring where students help other students; Live online or in-person; Select a topic and subject to schedule your appointment; Appointments must be requested 24 hours in advance. Live Help Tutoring: Live online tutoring through Live Help; Virtual – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Writing Lab: Submit your paper to a writing expert through the Writing Lab; Your questions and writing submission will be reviewed by a writing expert. CVTC Writing Specialist: Meet with a Writing Expert at CVTC; Live online or in-person.

Refunds are issues to students because of a credit balance due to overpayment by a student on their account, withdrawal during the refund period at the start of the semester, or excess financial aid funds applied to the student's account. Any subsequent charges posted to the student's account after a refund is issued will be due and payable by the student before registration for the next semester.
