The childcare pre-apprentice program is designed to prepare participants to be competent and secure as they pursue an apprenticeship and career in the early childcare field. our program is designed to connect related MATC academic program pathways to obtain a diploma or degree in Early Childhood. Our program is conducted through class hours, web-based learning and virtual learning. Five Star Educational Training Center LLC will be available to Milwaukee, Kenosha and Racine Wisconsin residents.
Caregiver background check
A program that requires its students to demonstrate they have successfully acquired a set of skills or knowledge base prior to completing the program. Compare to a "time-based" training program that results in successful completion if the students participate in a certain number of instructional hours.

Once successfully completing our Pre Apprenticeship program, students are able to hired at a Registered Childcare Apprenticeship program thru our partner, Lynn Precious Moments Childcare and other registered programs. In these programs, graduates receive on the job training, ( with pay ) while attending Milwaukee Area Technical College to obtain their Associate of Early Childhood degree. With this degree, students may choose to further themselves as a childcare lead teacher, pursue childcare administrative positions, purse entrepreneurship as a childcare family or childcare center owner.

Five Star has a partnership with Lynn Precious Moments LLC who has agreed to hire program graduates. We will also assist graduates with employment services within other accredited child care programs.
Students are able to receive remediation services in person, virtually and by phone as needed.
Certification fees paid for use of materials for each student
Certification fees to add each student to Wisconsin state registry for verification of completion
Certification fees to add each student to American Heart Association's roster.
If a student is absent, he/she will have to make arrangements for makeup days and rescheduling of any class missed.
No refund but are able to reschedule.
