Inspect, maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment, tools/equipment. Assess trees for defects/hazards. Establish and maintain safe work sites. Demonstrate safe practices and appropriate use of personal fall protection equipment for work aloft. Identify deciduous & evergreen trees and shrubs. Perform tree/shrub inspection of viability and strength, identify damaging insects, diseases, and abiotic stress. Determine removal plan. Install and use a rigging system. Perform pre-work inspection of equipment, tools, tree & site. Ascend & maneuver through canopy, avoiding hazards. Safely operate chainsaw. Perform brush cutting, felling, limbing and bucking.
