The 40 Hour Class B CDL School Bus/ Passenger Bus course is designed to give individuals the knowledge and expertise to pass the Class B CDL School Bus State Test and enter the industry as an entry-level professional school bus and passenger bus driver. (49.0205 - Truck and Bus Driver/Commercial Vehicle Operator and Instructor)

Applicants wanting to take the School Bus and Passenger Endorsement course must be at least 18 years old, must be able to pass a DOT physical and DOT five panel drug screen. Applicants must also not have any disqualifying offenses on their drivers license and possess their Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) at least one week before class begins.

The application deadline is the Friday prior to the Monday start of the class.
The goal of this course is for the applicant to enter the industry as an entry level school bus driver, motor coach driver, or transit bus driver.
Midwest Truck Driving School offers job placement services for students that need help in finding employment.
If students need more help with the course that help is given to them with one on one tutoring sessions.

Full refunds are given to students that withdraw prior to starting the course. The School Bus/ Passenger Endorsement training course is so short that no refunds are given if a students fails to complete the course or withdraws partway through it. The student is however given credits for future training allowing them to finish the course when they have the time.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
