The Human Resources Assistant Certificate at Moraine Park Technical College is perfect for developing new or seasoned supervisors into effective leaders and coaches in a diverse workplace. The Human Resources Assistant Certificate is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level roles within the Human Resources area. This certificate is also helpful for current and new human resources professionals seeking to improve their effectiveness as a leader through better understanding, communicating and implementing of organizational policies. Students in the Human Resources Assistant Certificate program learn about recruitment practices, payroll accounting, safety, and legal issues pertaining to employee relations and human resource management. This certificate allows students to take associate of applied science degree courses without the time commitment of a full-time program the credits can later be applied toward the Human Resources Associate of Applied Science degree. Program applications are accepted until a week prior to the start of each semester. There are some exceptions for programs or certificates that begin mid-semester. Some high-demand/limited-enrollment programs reach capacity based on the number of students who complete admission. Applicants are accepted into limited-enrollment programs on a first-come, first-served basis and are admitted from program waitlists as space becomes available.
The courses in this certificate transfer into the Human Resources associate of applied science degree.
Advisory board committee members from area businesses provide guidance and direction on curriculum and program outcomes.
Moraine Park offers Employment Services and Career Services to students.
Tutoring is available online and face to face for our students.

PLEASE NOTE:

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
