Madison Area Sheet Metal Workers JATC
Layout, measuring, detailing and drafting. Fabricate sheet metal components in the shop. Install sheet metal ducktwork and components in field. Architectural and/or general outside sheet metal work. Commercial installation. Industrial installation. Residential installation. Residential gutter, flashing, etc. Perform welding or soldering. Perform special processes and miscellaneous related work. LENGTH of program: 60 months. OJT WAGE: $20.01 starting, with gradual progression to $40.02. Number of Apprentices Enrolled: 92. Number of Apprentices who have graduated 218. Percent of Apprentices who have graduated: 66%. Be able to perform all tasks of the trade. Must be a high school graduate, have received a G.E.D., H.S.E.D., or a high school senior in good standing. Successfully complete the accuplacer test or ACT score equivalent. Must be employed as a Madison Area Sheet Metal Workers contractor before an application can be sent to the sponsor for apprenticeship to begin.
