Lead-Safe Renovator - Initial

This 8 hour course combines classroom and hands-on training on: regulations, handling of hazardous lead painted items at job sites, clean-up, tools and materials used, and how and when lead safe practices are used. Trainees earn a State of Wisconsin recognized certificate of completion. MCSC instructors are certified trainers and use Wisconsin certified curriculum.

This Program is a fundamental course required in career pathways in Construction, Home Repair and Maintenance, and related occupations.
Milwaukee Community Service Corps. (MCSC) assists trainees with job placement and also provides opportunities to practice new skills and build experience in MCSC's Work Projects Program. Trainees receive $11/hr., at Work Projects training work sites including: landscaping, home repair and renovation, snow plowing/removal, recycling, tree planting, and other projects.
Educators/Trainers are available to help trainees if they are having difficulty with training.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
