Worker's Compensation Advisory Council - Health Care Provider Advisory Committee

The Health Care Provider Advisory Committee (HCPAC) was created under SB 474 (Act 172) that Governor Doyle signed into law on March 21, 2006. The purpose of the HCPA committee is to establish guidelines for necessary treatment of employees with compensable worker's compensation injuries to prevent unnecessary treatment under 102.16(2m). These guidelines are not intended to expand or restrict a health care provider's scope of practice under any statue.
